A day trip to the Leeds Royal Armouries Museum, with free time at Wetherby on the way back. 

The museum is free entry and is modern and has lift access to all floors. It is very spacious and has changing exhibitions. The displays are spectacular and every period of history is covered.  It has excellent toilet and cafe facilities and is in a nice setting with great views of the restored canal in an area that has been rebuilt and rejuvenated. https://royalarmouries.org/leeds
